Sylvia Kilbride O'Connor

Sylvia Kilbride O'Connor passed away February 9, 2010, Sylvia "Tiny Dancer" O'Connor joined her husband Michael (Miley) and beautiful daughter Julie in her final journey. Unconditional love was her legacy. She grew up with 3 brothers who spoiled her. They lived on Lake Lorraine in Indian Orchard, MA. Bert and Everett will be waiting for her. George her baby brother, will continue to fill our lives with his love and fond memories. Sylvia was a frequent traveler, she loved adventure: Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Paris, Hawaii, B.V.I and the Caribbean Islands were among a few trips she loved. The road trips were numerous. She was always ready to cruise, drive, fly or parasail. She's been up in a balloon and glider plane. Scuba Diving, High Diving and Water Skiing are some of her exploits. If it's fun, she's included. The family could count on her to mend their clothes and dry their tears. She made that prom dress, wedding gown and patched up blue jeans. Her 13 children were often seen in matching attire, including Mom and Dad. Miley and Syl were a cute couple, they danced and sang their hearts away. Many will remember her from the Monday night senior citizen dance. She was still doing a few fast dances at 92. Her children and grandchildren share her love for music and laughter. She held each and everyone of her family close to her heart, and never wasted time on sorrow, regret or hate. Sylvia was a LPN for part of her working career, and loved caring for others. Retiring when her husband's health declined, she was always there to lend a hand. She watched her youngsters grow with optimism, patience, and pride. Sylvia and Miley moved to Miami, Fl. to be with her brother Bert Kilbride and his wife Marie (Miley's sister). Their families grew over the years and as neighbors the cousins shared each others homes. Upon Marie's death the families merged. Now there are 20 children. It did not stop there. When you become a son or daughter-in-law, you're in it till death do you part from Sylvia. Ifÿ you lose your Mom she's the next best thing. There is no way to count all her children. By best count there are 12 children, 7 double first children, 25 grands, 34 great grands, 3 great great grands, and countless inlaw and honorary children. As an empty nester she moved to St. Cloud to live with her daughters and son. At 92 she started to slow down and her children refused to let her buddy jump by parachutte ( the last item on her bucket list). Ther will be no funeral services. A celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Miami.
