Magdalena E. Bacon

Our dear sweet Magdalena E. Bacon “Maggie” (80) passed away on Friday, February 28th, 2020 in her home in St. Cloud, Florida. She passed with her loving family at her bedside. She was the widow of Willard L. Bacon with whom she shared 34 years of marriage and five loving children. She was the wife of Gene Leslie with whom she shared the last 25 years of her life, in Germantown, Wisconsin with their dog Tiffy. Maggie was born in Bamberg, Germany on June 25th, 1939. She was the daughter of Oskar Blass and Helga (Deuber) Blass. She was one of six children. She lived through World War II, then met and married Willard Bacon. They lived in various countries and states before ultimately settling down in Hartland, Wisconsin where they raised their family. While there, Maggie worked and eventually retired with thirty years of service from General Electric. She was a devoted member of the Milwaukee Northwest Seventh-Day Adventist Church. During the long winters, she attended the Kissimmee Seventh-Day Adventist church in Florida. There is so much more to this dear woman than can possibly be expressed. She was defined best by two qualities: her love for God and her family. Among those are her three remaining children Danny (Christine) Bacon, Stephen (Yvonne) Bacon and Angela (Jorge) Toledo, her nine grandchildren Jessica, Gabrielle, Billy Joe, Joann, Jacob, Elizabeth, Jorge, Brieanna and James and her fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Edith Cuellar, Elmar Blass, Maria Gladiator, and Angelika Blass, her husband Gene Leslie and her dog Tiffy. She is predeceased by her first husband, Willard L. Bacon, her daughter Christine M. Bacon, and her son Michael L. Bacon. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home located at N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Maggie’s favorite colors were red and pink. For this celebration of her life we would love to send her off with a final bouquet of love and friendship represented by those in attendance. If you are able, please consider wearing something red or pink to her visitation. What a beautiful sight that would be!
