Madeleine Zuczek

Madeleine{ Stowell } Furman, Zuczek, was born on December 27, 1940, in Port Chester, Westchester, NY. She peacefully passed away on July 4, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. She was the daughter of Nathan Straus Stowell & Madeleine (Moore) Stowell. As a child, she found joy in ice skating and horseback riding, creating cherished memories that lasted a lifetime. Madeleine embarked on various adventures throughout her life, spending time in Florida, Virginia, and Alaska. As an adult, she resided in Virginia and Florida, where she made lasting connections with her loved ones. Madeleine's family meant everything to her, and she treasured the moments spent with them. She loved visiting her family in Virginia, where her two oldest sons and their families resided & spending time with her daughter & son & youngest son Richie in Florida. In her leisure time, she found solace in watching police and medical dramas on television. Throughout her career, Madeleine held various professions, including substance abuse counselor, toll booth worker, and landscaping. But above all, she valued spending time with her loved ones. Madeleine was married twice in her lifetime, first to James C Furman, and later to Richard R Zuczek. She leaves behind her children and their spouses, James N Furman and Cynthia, Paul M Furman and Meg, Katherine Furman Monroe, and Richard R Zuczek Jr. Madeleine was pre deceased by her former husbands and her older brother Peter(Pete}Newton Stowell & younger brother Alan Moore Stowell. She is survived by her domestic partner, George Cambridge, who provided love and support throughout her journey. Madeleine will be fondly remembered for her infectious laughter, her passion for sharing family stories, and her unwavering faith. She actively participated in AA and was deeply involved in her church. Madeleine Zuczek's impact on the lives she touched will be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, most of whom she got to know and spend time with. She enjoyed them all very much and was always so happy to see photos and vide's os of them. A private gathering will be held to honor and celebrate Madeleine's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice in Madeleine's memory.
