Joyce Estell

Joyce Louise Winant Dean Estell was born in Staten Island, New York to Wimund and Margaret Winant on January 22, 1919. Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband Stan Dean, her second husband, George Estell, and her parents. She leaves her daughters, Sharon Walker of Mansfield, Texas and Cheryl Brady of Illinois, her grandchildren, Susan Martin, Shannon Reynolds (Jesse), Erin Kinworthy (Rick), Eric Walker (Amy), Vicky Reiling; great grandchildren, Sebastian Martin, Meghan Johns (Aaron), Dakota Martin, William Reynolds, Matthew Walker, Austin Walker, Riley Walker, Ashley Brady, Jessica Reiling, Dylan Mosley; great-great grandchildren, Chloe Johns, Spencer Johns, Mason Lax; her stepchildren Laverne Estelle of Pinellas Park, FL and Georgeann Miller of Bozeman, Montana. She enjoyed growing up in Staten Island, going to the beach with her friends each day all summer from early in the morning with one sandwich in hand until nine at night. Her family celebrated many occasions in local parks on the island. She enjoyed being outside. She did her own yard work until her late seventies. She talked of her travels with Stan and the girls with joy and love. She enjoyed the travel that following a military man afforded them even though she and the children had to wait to join Stan after he was settled at times. She tried her hand at sewing, sang in church and community choirs throughout her life, and played cards and bingo as often as possible. She enjoyed cooking and keeping her home neat and tidy. She volunteered at the Thriftee Center, and The St. Cloud Food Pantry until recent months. She always dressed properly and at her best to go to meetings, appointments and run errands. She had a beautiful smile that always had others smiling back. If she disagreed with a certain decision, place or person, she had a special ‘Joyce’ way of letting us know. She loved her Lord. She thrived on the Bible studies offered by pastors over the years and her Sunday School class and teacher, Jeff Forman. She loved the people of the church. They made her feel loved and happy. She wasn’t lonely because she had her church family, her card friends and her Lord. Donations in Joyce’s memory can be made to the St. Cloud Food Pantry MWF, 10-2 901 Missouri Avenue, St. Cloud FL 34769. Services will be held at Fisk Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Friday, April 16 at 2 pm with viewing held before from 12 noon to 2 pm.
