Homer Milton "Milt" Campbell

Homer Milton "Milt" Campbell was a life long resident of Osceola County. He was born and raised in St. Cloud and grew on his family's dairy farm, Campbell's Dairy. He attended St. Cloud High School; and played on the football team that won the Conference Championship in 1948. Shortly after high school he joined the U.S. Navy for a short period of time until returning home due to the passing of his father. He coordinated the St. Cloud Community Blood Bank for over 35 years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), Lodge Hall #66 for over 40 years, was a Past Noble Grand, and a Past Grand Patriarch for the jurisdiction of the State of Florida. He was also a member of the Deborah Rebekah’s #82 for over 25 years, where he was a Past Noble Grand. He was a local business owner of Milt's 66 from 1961 - 1976, and Milt's Car Care from 1976 – 2006 when he then retired. He attended and was a member of Canoe Creek Christian Church and before that attended First Christian Church of St. Cloud. He survived by his wife, Annie Marie Campbell; his son, Bill Campbell and wife Teri of St. Cloud; stepchildren, Bonnie Bowen and Husband Bobby of St. Cloud, Michael Litteral of Kissimmee, Jimmy Litteral and wife Brenda of St. Cloud, Benny Litteral and wife Polly of Morristown, TN., Ann Moore of St. Cloud, Keith Moore of Helena MT., David Moore and wife Patti of St. Cloud, Jim Moore and wife Joyce of Highpoint, NC., Joy VanTassel of St. Cloud, Billy Platt and wife Faye of St. Cloud, Richard Platt and wife Margie of Highlands, FL., Michael Platt and wife Tracy of Dawsonville, GA., Paulette Clark of St. Cloud, Edie Garmon and husband Joe of Thomasville, GA; 33 grandchildren: Aaron Campbell, Wade Langley, Kaylee Campbell, Kenny Bowen, Pam Hoyle, Jim Litteral, Brenda Ramirez, Eric Litteral, Timmy Litteral, Becky Whitney, Theresa Vilete, Kelsi White, Mindy Harvey, Misty Moore, Brandy Jones, Rachel Moore, Jim Moore, Jr., Shelly Espe, Jodie Earnest, Josh VanTassel, Amanda Zema, Faith Johnson, Ricky Platt, Chrissy Cogdill, Michael Platt, Jr., Brandon Platt, Lee Clark, Lori Clark, Patricia Garmon, Joey Marian, Johnny Gorman, Amber Vanderminden, and Geri Siddell; 74 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; Milton is also survived by brothers, Alfred Campbell, Jr. of St. Cloud, Edgar Campbell and wife Joyce of Clayton, GA, Raymond Campbell and wife Patsy of St. Cloud; and sister, Joy Smith of St. Cloud. Milton is preceded in death by his first wife Ethel Martin Campbell and the mother of his son, William “Bill” Campbell; and his second wife Rita Mae Campbell; stepson, Johnny Moore; and step-grandson, Weston Bartlett. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2011 in the chapel of Fisk Funeral Home from 4-8 PM. Services for Milton will be held on Saturday, October 1st at the First Baptist Church of St. Cloud at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kissimmee.
