Edward V. Stewart

Edward V. Stewart, 81, of Saint Cloud, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016. He was born on January 2, 1935 to John and Gladys (Seaton) Stewart in West Sunbury, PA. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Suzanne Stewart of Saint Cloud; two sons, Edward V. Stewart, Jr. and wife Lorie of Saint Cloud, FL, and Clinton W. Stewart of Orlando, FL; daughter, Deborah S. Kozar of Monaca, PA; six grandchildren: Jenny, Amber, Chelsea, Luke, Kris, and Aaron: five great-grandchildren: Hanna, Jayden, Avery, Lillykate, and Addie: a sister, Twila Mitchell of New Castle, PA; and a brother, Herbert Stewart and his wife Cathy of Hermitage, PA. He was a steelworker, a railroader, and the head supervisor for a major boat manufacture. He started as a teenager working at A&P super market where he met the love of his life (Suzanne). Shortly after she graduated they were married and move to Aliquippa where he worked at the company store. He spent many years as a steelworker working at multiple steel mills during the 60's and early 70's. In the early 70's he finally got the job he really wanted with A&S railroad where he worked for almost 10 years before getting laid-off. Ed and his wife (Suzanne) moved to Florida in the early 80's where he got a job doing maintenance for Regal Boats working there until he retired in 2000. Ed could fix anything and in his younger years liked working on cars especially race cars. He built stock cars in the late 50's and early 60's that were driven by a close friend in western Pennsylvania. Ed built many cars from the ground up including a '54 Chrysler New Yorker and a '66 Dodge Cornet. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing during these years. Somewhere during the mid 60's he started bowling which is a sport he loved until he could no longer throw the ball. He spent many a night bowling with his wife. He stopped working on cars as they became more computerized and moved into woodworking. During his life he remodeled 2 homes from the ground up and one was even purchased by Joe Namath.
