Wanda L. Fosnaugh

April 11, 1933 - July 18, 2019

Wanda L. Rase Fosnaugh, RN, born April 11, 1933, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2019, having passed away unexpected at her residence in St. Cloud, Florida at age 86. Wanda was originally from Wheelersburg, Ohio, raised her family in Circleville, Ohio and when close to retirement years moved to St. Cloud, Florida in 1985. Wanda was a devout Christian with a beautiful voice, singing in the Methodist church choir, as well as being an active member of the Covenant Bible Study Group. With a passion and talent for music, she enjoyed playing the clarinet in the Osceola Community Orchestra. With a tender Florence Nightingale like smile on her face, she enjoyed helping others. After graduating from Green Township High School in 1951, Wanda studied nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital Catholic School of Nursing, in Huntington, West Virginia, and graduated as a registered nurse (RN) in 1954. She enjoyed her nursing career and remained heavily involved and active in that field; with nursing licenses from both Ohio and Florida, Wanda certainly relished sharing her medical knowledge and thoroughly loved her nursing career up until her sudden but peaceful passing. Wanda’s nursing cap and nursing cape are proudly displayed inside the medical museum at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With a heartfelt spirit, Wanda was a member of the St. Cloud Women’s Club and actively volunteered at the Heritage Museum and the St. Cloud Community Food Pantry. She loved cruise ships and enjoyed traveling; booking several memorable cruises with her precious daughter Lynda. Always bubbly in fun and spirit, she loved to be around her family and friends. She cherished life and was most pleased and proud when her own children were home with her. Wanda leaves behind her cherished daughter Lynda K. Fosnaugh of St. Cloud, Florida and precious son Jameson Foss of St. Petersburg, Florida as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law. Preceded in death were: Wanda’s husband, James H. Fosnaugh; her mother, Alberta Vance Rase; her father, Frederick W. Rase; and her brother John A. Rase.
