Miriam Gonzalez

September 2, 1945 - October 16, 2020

Miriam Gonzalez, age 75, passed on October 16, 2020 in her home surrounded by family. She was the wife to Ramon Gonzalez. Combined, they shared 60 years together. They raised four children, Norma, Margie, Daniel and Lenin. She was a grandmother to five grandchildren; Jessica, Gabrielle, Antonio, Sebastian and Danielle and two great grandchildren, Leon and Ivy. Miriam was born in Puerto Rico and she was the daughter of Herminio Ciuro and Rosa Osorio. She had four siblings, Rosa, Junior, Henry and Gloria. She arrived in New York at the age of eight where she met her spouse when she was 15 years old. By the age of 17, she had her three children and she dedicated herself to raising them and running a household. She began her career late in life, when she went to school to become a patient care assistant in the health care, geriatric field where she dedicated 25 years. She was a simple woman, whose view on life were sometimes skeptical and a topic of interesting conversation and debate. No one will dispute that she was extremely loyal and devoted to her husband and family. For entertainment she enjoyed playing Bingo, cards and lotto. She enjoyed watching sports, with baseball being her favorite; let’s go Mets! She also enjoyed watching various games and nature shows. Miriam will be terribly missed for her wit, humor and loving heart. Though she has physically left us on this earth, in our hearts she will always remain alive. May she rest in peace until we meet again.
