Marilyn Faye Bussen

May 24, 1929 - March 10, 2022

Marilyn Faye Haig Bussen passed from this world on March 10, 2022. Marilyn was born on May 24, 1929 in Caseyville, IL. She was the youngest in the family of Alexander Drysdale and Mary Amelia Haig. Marilyn was known to all as "Mike" - the nickname given her by her sole brother. Her brother and 8 sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Robert W. Bussen of Kissimmee, FL; her children, Pamela (Bussen) Zaresk and Robert Mark Bussen, both of Kissimmee, FL; 9 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Upon graduation from Collinsville High School in Collinsville, IL "Mike" worked at Armour Meat Packing Co. in East St. Louis, IL. "Mike" was often a soloist as well as singing with her sisters at weddings and other events. Bob and "Mike" married on November 24, 1951 and resided in Caseyville, IL where "Mike" was employed with Central & Southern Trucking Company. "Mike" moved with her family to Alexandria, VA where they resided until 1980 when they relocated to Miami, FL. Life in Miami included working for an interior design company and a Hallmark Gold Crown Store; bowling in several leagues; and being an active Elkette in the Miami 948 BPOE Lodge. When the Bussen’s moved to St. Cloud in 2000, “Mike” joined the Eastern Star of the St. Cloud Masonic Lodge and with her husband attended St. Cloud United Methodist Church. Throughout the years "Mike" was a faithful and loving wife and mother. Graveside services will be held at an undetermined date in the future in Caseyville, IL. Condolences should be sent directly to the Bussen Family at 105 Club Villas Lane, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
