Flor M Carrazana
August 15, 1932 - September 13, 2021
Flor Maria Carrazana passed away quietly on Monday September 13 at 12:45 A.M. She was in the company of her husband Pedro, and two loving friends that help care for her and Pedro as she took her last breath to be with the Lord. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband (Pedro Carrazana), her loving son (Pedro Jr. Carrazana), his wife (Merry) and two wonderful grandchildren (Cori and Che) as well as many family members that loved her. We will all miss her greatly as well as feel a void in her absence as well as in our hearts. Flor was born Huertas, Cuba on August 15, 1932. In Cuba she fell in love with, and married Pedro. Together they formed an unbreakable bond in Cuba and in the United states that lasted 66 years. Upon arriving in the United States (New York City) to begin their new life, she obtained a job as a seamstress in a factory meanwhile attending classes for English and Bible. In New York, together with Pedro she raised her only son and played a huge part in raising her nieces and nephews. Flor was the first one in her family to arrive in the United States from Cuba. She and Pedro financially helped many family members leave Cuba, start over to make better lives for themselves in the US and other parts of the world. Their actions certainly saved lives as well. She is the dictionary example of what a “Servant Heart” is and what it means to serve the Lord and others above ourselves. Eventually this tiny family of three world move to Sunny Florida. Here in Florida, on a little farm; they rebuilt their lives once again. Together they continued to work hard and serve the Lord. Soon the rest of the immediate family followed. She retired from a local boat factory (Mercury Marine). She was respected by all her coworkers and worked alongside her two sister in-laws. She was a founding member of the first Hispanic Baptist church in Kissimmee. Alongside her congregation she helped build that church brick by brick. Flor was the nicest, most unselfish person, mother, tia, and abuela. She was an amazing cook! She always had a plate of wonderful Cuban food, a delicious café or flan for anyone who visited. She made us feel so special as if in that moment we were the most important person in the world. She had a green thumb especially for growing her favorite flowers such as roses and orchids. For many years the church Sunday flowers displayed in front of the pulpit were directly from her garden. Of all her accomplishments, her proudest one was raising Pedro Jr. Who is a great husband, father, and businessman with an affinity for helping others (Just like his parents). Her favorite bible verse was Psalms 27 with an emphasis on Verse 1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall, I fear? El senor es mi luz, mi salvacion. De quien tendre miedo? Her favorite saying and reply to many of life’s obstacles was ‘Always Have Faith’ ‘Siempre ten Fe’ Services for Flor Carrazana will be held on September 24, 2021 at Fisk Funeral home at 1107 Massachusetts Avenue. The viewing and eulogy will take place between 11:00 -1:50. This will be followed by a graveside ceremony directly after at Mount Peace Cemetery 775 E.10th Saint Cloud Florida.
