Donald L. Blair

September 17, 1934 - February 24, 2019

Donald L. Blair, entered into rest February 24, 2019. He was born in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, into a wheat farming family. He resided in the Memphis area until moving to St. Cloud, FL. Donald was a Korean War Veteran with the U.S. Air Force. He met his wife, Ruby, in Chicago, at the Sweetheart Paper Company. He retired as an aircraft mechanic for Northwest Airlines. He was a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather, and an excellent provider for his family. Some of the fondest memories we share were taking the whole family to Gulf Shores Greers Ferry. If we were by papaw, we always had fun. Going on vacation in the smokies and Hurricane Camille hit. The grandkids always looked forward to late night ice cream and popcorn, and telling our parents to hush when they try to yell at us. His focus was always Family First. He always took us fishing. Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Nell Blair, and his daughter, Kathy McCoy. He is survived by his children; Wanda McGee of St. Cloud, Linda Stone of Southaven, MS, Thomas Jones of El Dorado, AR, J.W. Jones of Jackson, TN, and David Blair of Southaven, MS. He always put Jesus Christ first in his life. Faith, Family, and Godliness are what sum him up best.
