William Warren Mueller

William Warren Mueller (Popsie) of Kissimmee, Florida, formerly of Bellaire, Michigan, died peacefully at his home on June 8, 2017. Bill was born to Morris and Bertha (Brown) Mueller on September 17, 1925. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he attended elementary through high school and on to graduate from Ohio State University. The family summered at their cottage on Bellaire, Michigan’s Torch Lake. Bill served his country honorably in World War Two in the Army Air Corp. He was part of the US occupation force of Japan. After college, he lived in Columbus for 20 years. While in Columbus he was a builder of homes and commercial buildings. Also, in his senior year at Ohio State, he met the love of his life Jean Ann Miller (who has preceded him in death, October 2004). They were married 53 years before he lost his beloved Jean Ann to a short illness. In 1975 Bill and Jean Ann moved their family to Sarasota, Florida where they owned a vending business, a used car dealership and a RV park. He was also the commodore of the Bird Key Yacht Club during part of their time. Due to a sudden illness, Bill and Jean Ann moved to the beautiful shores of Torch Lake where Bill had spent his summers. They resided in the Bellaire, Michigan area until Jean Ann passed away. Bill owned and operated The Short Stop and Mueller Homes during his time in Bellaire. He was an active member, for many years, of the Bellaire Rotary Club. Bill moved to Kissimmee, Florida in the Orlando, Florida area, where he enjoyed the beautiful Florida weather, many nights at the local eateries with his son David and Jim. Bill had been an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his son Bill when he visited in the winters. He also enjoyed his traveling and antiquing adventures with his daughter Judy. Bill is survived by his children Judy Schieber (Phillip Dupuis), David and Jim (Hollingsworth) Mueller, Bill and Laura (Cole) Mueller; grandchildren Julie Schieber (James Buhler), Colin Mueller and Tyler Mueller; and one great grandson Ty Lawson. He is also survived by his grand-puppy Jazzy whose daily morning and afternoon visits were a bright spot in his day. Bill will be missed by the many friends and places that helped shape his 91 years on this earth. Cremation has taken place and by his directive, there will be no funeral or visitation. Bill will be buried next to Jean Ann in the Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bellaire Meals on Wheels or the Bellaire Senior Center. Arrangements are being handled by the Fisk Funeral Home in St. Cloud, Florida.
