Robert Harvey Whitman

In Loving Memory of Robert Harvey Whitman, (62) He leaves behind a son, George Alva Whitman and 2 daughters, Jessica Ann Whitman and Passion Marie Marinkov. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Hunter 17, Sadera 11, Arianna 9 and Airika 3, children of Jessica A. Whitman. His mother was Sylvia M. Whitman and father was Charles C. Whitman, they had 3 children, Robert H. Whitman, Charles Whitman and George Whitman, he leaves behind his brothers Charles and George Whitman. Robert loved the outdoors, camping and the Appalachian trail, but most of all he loved his family. His pride and joy are his grandchildren. He was always proud to be a papa and he was always proud of his grandchildren in everything they did and who they are and became. He always wanted the best for them. Robert was the kind of person that tried to help everyone as much as he could. Even though he only lived in Florida a short time he made many friends. Everyone knew him as pops because he always gave good advice to those who needed it and put all his heart and soul to everything he did. Robert was a big believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. He believed that the Lord had a reason for everything. He never gave up, even when he was down. He was a fighter to the very end. He never gave up hope on anyone or anything. He always said that when it’s someone’s time to go that always meant that the Lord needed an angel and now the Lord has another angel that never lost his faith and hope in everyone and his savior Jesus Christ. Psalm 23 NIV: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of right consciousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Prayer: Heavenly father, I come to you as the place I can hide. Everywhere I go are people who remind me of my loss, places that bring back memories, events that should bring joy, but instead bring loss and grief. Let me truly find rest in you. Amen
