Robert Twedt

Robert P Twedt (Bob) passed away on 9/27/2025 while under hospice care at the home of his brother Jerome (Tony) and surrounded physically and spiritually by the friends and family who loved him. People present at the time or in part include Tony , Terry, Greg, Cheryl, Bob, Chad, Shannon, Stephanie, Fuji, the many nurses that stayed with us over the last weeks, and the friends that stopped in to pay their respects. Bob is preceded in death by his Mother Lois, Father Jerome , his adopted Father Oscar Twedt , and his ex-wife Sheree, also his beloved dogs Foxy and Peanut . Bob is survived by his older sister Cheryl and her husband Bob Latterell, brother Jerome, and his wife Terry Smoley, brother Greg and his wife Terri Twedt, his son Shannon and his wife Stephanie Twedt and their three children Ace, Wyatt, and Sophia. Robert also has four nieces and one nephew, and his loved dog Bella. Bob was born on 8/24/1957 in St Cloud , Minnesota where he spent most of his young and adult life. In 1975 Robert joined the US Navy and was discharged Under Honorable Conditions in 1978. In 1979 he married his first and only wife Sheree Peterson , then in 1980 they had his only child Shannon. They soon divorced in 1983. Throughout life Bob has had many hobbies that he enjoyed, like hunting, fishing, camping, taking cross country road trips, working on cars when the need arose. He enjoyed hanging out with close friends and playing darts. When he bought his house in Foley, he then became a jack of all trades when he completely remodeled the inside of the house. When he retired and moved to Florida , he put his talents to good use constantly remodeling his current residents and not being satisfied as well as helping all his neighbors with whatever repairs they may have needed. Bob was a very caring and dedicated man to his friends, and family. He was an amazing father, and an equally amazing and supportive grandfather. He made friends easily and would do almost anything to help someone. He also had an undying passion for nature and of course if you knew him Bald Eagles. Now may he soar free watching down on us all.
