Mardeya Tadesse

Mardeya Moza “Moe” Tadesse passed away on Wednesday, February 03, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with Type 1 Diabetes. He was forty years old. Mardeya was baptized at an early age, and rebaptized in 2008 in rededication of his life to Christ. Moza spent his final days on Earth renewing his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Moza was at peace when he went home to glory. Moza was born on July 27, 1980 in Lake Charles, LA. His family moved to Houston, Texas in 1984 when he was four years old. His father’s job relocated them to Kissimmee, FL in 1986. The family eventually moved St. Cloud, FL where his parents’ currently reside and was also Moza’s last place of residence. Mardeya is a 1998 graduate of St. Cloud High School, a 2000 graduate of John Whitney Young Job Corps where he earned a Certified Nursing Assistant license. He attended Kentucky State University with a major in criminal justice, and Academy of Career Training Barbering and Beauty School. Moza was previously employed as a construction worker, barback/host, and home improvement assistant. He also engaged in many entrepreneurial endeavors including promoting a clothing and accessories line and a cologne business. Moza was an animal lover and had a variety of pets. Some of his hobbies included composing rap music, drawing, and cooking for his family. Moza loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. To him, family was everything. Many cherished memories held by family members and friends, are most like to include Moe. He could always be counted on to be one of their biggest supporters, most loyal fans, and all-around “hype man”. It never made a difference to Moe what accomplishment was made or what event was being celebrated, he was genuinely happy for the person and just loved to be a part of the moment. Moza spent his teen and adult years as a Floridian, and his love and pride for his state knew no bounds. His favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins and he loved to wear his trademark dolphin earrings. Any friend or relative that visited Florida and were close enough to St. Cloud, were guaranteed to have a personalized itinerary created by Moza and/or would be certain to take part in one of his famous tours of the Orlando area. Moza is survived by his parents, Tesfaye “Teddy” Tadesse and Cinda Gail Tadesse, his sister and brother-in-law, Yafrica Edwards and Monte Edwards, his nephew, Tefari Te’mon Edwards, two nieces, Yahnae Sahi Edwards and Yemeserach Helene Edwards, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Moza was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Helen Guillory and his paternal grandparents, Tadesse w/Yohannes, Fikerte Askabe, and Askale Munga.
