Kenneth Parker

Kenneth Parker passed away on March 21, 2025 at his home in Holopaw, Florida surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Patsy Parker for nearly 69 years. Kenneth Parker was born on April 10, 1938 in Holopaw, Florida. He was the son of Leslie and Isabelle Parker. His first job was working on a farm until the age of 16 when he moved in with his brother, JL Parker, to work on Deseret Ranch. This is when he met Patsy and they married on August 24, 1956. Kenneth then got a job working for the Brevard County School Board running machinery clearing properties for future build sites. Soon after, he transferred to Brevard County Road and Bridge as a heavy equipment operator where he would retire in 1996 as a supervisor after 29 years of service. During his time at Road and Bridge he also took on the responsibility as caretaker of Max Rodes Park in 1969 and moved his family to Melbourne, Florida. Kenneth was raised Southern Baptist and had a strong Christian Faith. He spent a great amount of time traveling on a Fast Pitch Softball Church League as the Pitcher. Prior to that as a young man he loved to Rodeo. Kenneth and Patsy had a daughter, Becky Pletcher, and then a son, Barry Parker. As a family they loved boating, fishing, and camping with many summers spent in the Florida Keys. Kenneth and Patsy enjoyed spending time with friends going on motorcycle adventures and being a part of the Kissimmee Yacht Club. They moved from Melbourne to Holopaw in 1973, where the family still resides. Throughout the years, he was proud to pass on his expansive knowledge of boating and fishing, especially his knot tying abilities, to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was such a great man to all that knew him. Kenneth Parker is preceded in death by his father Leslie Parker, mother Isabelle Parker, brother James Leslie Parker, and sister Betty Cates. Kenneth Parker is survived by his wife Patsy Parker, daughter Becky and (Kevin) Pletcher, and son Barry and (Pam) Parker. He had four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The graveside service will be held on March 27, 2025 at 2pm at Mount Peace Cemetery 755 E 10th Street St. Cloud, FL 34769 with a reception immediately following at Holopaw Community Center 8801 Community Center Rd St. Cloud, Fl 34773.
