Josephine Crosby

Josephine “Jo” Mae Crosby was born May 27th 1936, in Augusta, Kentucky the daughter of Emery and Retta Perkins. Josephine entered heavens gates to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at 10:29 p.m. at Saint Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Florida . She was united in marriage to Elith “Eli” Crosby on January 19th 1970 in Saint Cloud, Florida. He preceded her in death on January 30th 1997. They were happily married for 44 years. Josephine is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jo’s son James “Jimmy” Ochs of Orlando, her daughter in law Linda Ochs, granddaughter Sherri Fitch, great granddaughter Nicole Fitch, granddaughter Jaime Fitch Allen , her spouse Eric Allen, great grandson Justin Allen, great granddaughter Amber Allen, grandson Shane Ochs. Jo’s daughter Laura Martinez of Texas, her Son in law Miguel Martinez, granddaughter Rebecca Martinez, grandson Miguel “Mikey” Martinez, granddaughter Lisa Martinez Gallegos her spouse Fernando Gallegos, great grandson Jesus Gallegos, great granddaughter Isabella Gallegos, grandson Daniel Martinez his spouse Maria Martinez, great granddaughter Brenda Tapia, great grandson Noe Tapia, great grandson Jr. Tapia, great granddaughter Debbie Tapia, granddaughter Angelina “Lina” Martinez. Jo’s daughter Lisa Standridge of Holopaw, her son in law Frank Standridge, grandson Frank “Frankie” Standridge, great grandson Kaleb Standridge, great grandson Jesse Standridge, great granddaughter Hailey Standridge, Grandson Robert “Bobby” Standridge his spouse Crystal Adams, great grandson Dalton Standridge, granddaughter Cassandra “Sandy” Long her spouse Chris Long great granddaughter Bobbi Jo Bernard, great granddaughter Kristin Long, great grandson Shannen Long, grandson James Standridge. Jo’s daughter Debbie Breeden of Canada, Son in law Danny Breeden, grandson Josh Breeden, granddaughter Heather Breeden, great grandson Portor Gaalaas, great granddaughter Skylar Gaalaas. Jo’s son Robert Crosby of Holopaw, daughter in law Sara Crosby, grandson Austin Crosby, grandson Guy Crosby, granddaughter Alexis Crosby, and granddaughter Mackenzie Crosby. Josephine was predeceased by two of her siblings William “Bill” Perkins of Ohio and Bradley Perkins of Ohio. She is survived by her sisters Laura McMath of Melbourne, and Lois Gay Hale of Melbourne. Josephine will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, countless nieces and nephews and her remaining family members and friends whom all hold her dear in their heart. Josephine was a member of Holopaw Baptist Church and resided in Holopaw, Florida for the past 44 years. Jo was very active in her community where she volunteered her time with countless community parties and children events. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends and never once met a stranger. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service given by Deacon Ty Green celebrating Josephine’s wonderful life will be held the following day, October 8th at 11 a.m. at Fisk Funeral Home along with grave side services at Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee, Florida immediately after the funeral. The Family would like to invite all family and friends to attend a gathering with refreshments immediately after the Graveside service at the Holopaw Community Center located at 8801 Community Center Road Saint Cloud, FL 34773 Be still and know that I am God.
