Jane Kucik

Jane "Jeannie" Kucik, 91, of Saint Cloud, went home on Saturday, August 7th, 2010. Jane or Jeannie as she was affectionately known was born on March 3, 1919, the daughter of Constantine and Helen (Szamborska) Sidorowicz in Lansford, Pennsylvania. The youngest of four children: Florence, Ann and Johnny who's birthday she was born on. What a present she was...not only to her biological family which includes her son Stephen and daughter Mary Smith and son-in-law Bob...but to all of us, her "extended" family. Our precious little Jeannie's life was often dotted with sorrow; the loss of her Mom at the tender age of around 5 years old. The loss of the feeling of being wanted and loved when her father remarried. The loss of her first daughter; the loss of her the loss of her Pennsylvania family and friends and job and comfortable "Home" plus surroundings when her husband chose to move to Florida with his brother Paul. And in recent years the loss of her health and ability to drive and be self-sufficient as she so strongly wanted to be. But in our Dear Lords infinite wisdom...with loss, and acceptance of it as: God's will...always comes great graces. Our Jeannie was blessed with an abundance of graces for her Faith and Trust in the Lord. When her mother died, she was blessed with the "Nuns" taking care of her at the church where her father played the organ and cared for. When her step-mother entered the picture...she was "blessed" with supportive escapes in the form of nanny jobs in New York and helping her sister in Detroit....there she was "Blessed" again with ...the meeting of her "to-be-husband" at Paul and Ceils house for the Christening of there oldest daughter Janis. Then she was blessed with her own family and excelled as not only a mother, wife and homemaker...but was always Jeannie's way...she gave to her "seeming" abilities. She gave to her country as she assumed the role of contributor of the war effort and World War II as "Rosey-the-Riveter" in the factories. Due to her tiny frame, she was given a riveting gun and sent into the wing-sections and other hard to get areas....to "rivet" those vital parts of the planes together. Always conscientious, always concerned about details...and most of all...always concerned about others. She would work tirelessly to be sure they were safe and done right. When she lost her first daughter, her grief was again blessed, as an offering, by what else the Lord would give her. Her precious Stephen and Mary would be given to her for the remainder of her long life to see them grow under her attentive, loving and spiritual care! She would be blessed with jobs she loved at Hudson's and Crawbys as a salesperson for clothing and children's ware in Detroit. She was blessed with many family vacations all over the country and Canada, out west and New Mexico where she did all the driving and her husband navigated. She was blessed when she moved to Florida by new friends and new adventures and travels. She was blessed in these last years with health being restored many times. She was blessed for her endless efforts to spread our Lords word and work, and her deep devotion to our Heavenly Mother Mary...by many visits to be present at apparitions of Mary. She helped with forming of St. Thomas Aquinas Senior Club. She was blessed in the last week on earth by breakfast with friends and family and being able to drive again as she wished and shopped on her own once more. Also, she was awake when Jesus came to get his "prize little Saint" and he took her home on his mothers "First Saturday", one of Jeannie's favorite times of the month! She was taken home during a week filled with Heavenly events...the Transfiguration, Feast of St. Jean, Mary's Assumption, Holocaust Saints: Edith Stein and Maxamillion Kolbe. She
