Heather Provencal

Heather Grace (Goszleth) Provencal, born December 5, 1980, finished her cancer battle surrounded by friends and family, and was restored to wholeness on January 7, 2025. Born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, she and her family then moved to the prairies of Saskatchewan, where she spent her school years studying, singing, traveling in North America and Europe, and making wonderful memories with her beloved parents (Lou & Thelma Goszleth), sisters (Shana Orser, Tami Kreitl, and Holly Bauknight), cousins & lifelong friends. While in high school, she met the boy of her dreams at church camp, and eventually those dreams came true when she married Beau Provencal in 2003. She and Beau set up their home in St. Cloud, Florida, just minutes away from her twin sister and best friend, Holly. Heather was an active member of their community, working at the courthouse until the birth of their beloved son, Drew in 2014. At that point, Heather turned her attention to loving and serving her family full-time. A wonderful wife and mother, she homeschooled Drew while still managing to help with multiple family businesses and ministries, sing & play piano on the church worship team, work out, take care of the dogs, keep her kitchen floor (and a lot of others) spotless, and show up in whatever way was needed for so many who were privileged to call her “friend”. Heather was a gifted singer, and in 2023, she went to Nashville to record a song, “Good, Good Life” as a surprise for her husband (which can be heard on most music-streaming platforms). While she performed publicly on several occasions, Heather’s passion was worship, and she never tired of ministering to her Creator through music. From the moment she was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, right up until the moment she passed, Heather’s confidence in the goodness of God was unwavering. Her focus on gratitude and God’s presence sustained her (and encouraged so many others) throughout the long and difficult journey. While Heather’s departure feels so wrong to all who were blessed to know and love her, we seek to honor her life by following her lead, even now. Heather’s deepest desire was always that she would see God. She sought glimpses of Him every day, and looked for His kindness in even the most difficult of situations. So it is with broken hearts--still holding on to hope in God’s kindness--that we will gather to celebrate Heather’s life on Saturday, January 25, at 2:30 p.m. We invite you to join us at First Baptist Church Orlando, in Henry Chapel (across from Worship Center “A”). The memorial service will be livestreamed. Following the service a reception will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Orange County Sportsman’s Associate in Lake Sheen Hall (9020 Kilgore Road, Orlando, FL 32836).
