Gregg Owen Rushton

GREGG OWEN RUSHTON was born September 27, 1980 in Provo, Utah. Gregg passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at his parent’s home in Saint Cloud, Florida after enduring several months of strenuous heart issues. How do you sum up a life? Wherever he went, his big smile, laughter and good humor warmed your heart. He made friends from all over the world. We know Gregg was deeply loved and will be missed especially by his father and mother. Gregg was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served a mission in the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission from 2000 to 2002. Following his mission, Gregg volunteered during the Winter Olympics 2002 in Salt Lake City Utah. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow Vigil. He loved his first job at the Lagoon Amusement Park. He worked in the Alarm and Security fields, Customer Service and especially being an Uber and Lyft Rideshare Driver. Gregg would come home with stories of “Hey Mom, do you know who I saw?” His acquaintances were everywhere. Gregg loved the mountains of Utah and missed them while living in Florida. They were his direction, his guide, his lighthouse. At Gregg’s request, he was cremated and he wants everyone to wear any color except black. Gregg is survived by his parents, Delbert and Mary Rushton; his grandfather Dean Carroll; his Aunts -Patricia, Suzanne, Lyle, Sheri, Cathy, Tamara, Cynthia, Diana, Ruth, Julie, Carol and Kimberly; his Uncles -Cory, Gary O, Craig, Dorian, Gary F, Tom, Richard, Michael O, Michael D, and Michael B; as well as numerous cousins. Lifelong Friends -Richard Brimhall, Dan Naylor, Bryce Peterson and many, many more. Gregg is also survived by his birth mother, Kathleen and sisters Venetia and Maria whom he only met last September. Preceded in death by Grandmothers Ileen Carroll and Carol Rushton, Grandfather Owen Rushton, Aunt Carrie, Uncle Dusty, and Brent S. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints • 2821 Old Canoe Creek Road Saint Cloud Florida on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 am to 12 noon. • 5233 South 3200 West Taylorsville Utah on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11 am to 12 noon.
