Gary Paul Mann After a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, Gary Paul Mann passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, at Addison of Narcoosee Memory Care in St. Cloud, Florida, surrounded by his beloved wife, Mirna, and his devoted sister, Janet. Gary was born on June 11,1945, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Paul and Lorraine Mann. His parents married during World War II while Paul was stationed at Camp McCoy near La Crosse, and Lorraine worked at an ammunition factory. After the war, they returned to Waterville, Kansas, where Gary grew up, surrounded by the love of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He excelled in sports—playing basketball, football, and track—and graduated as valedictorian of his class. In 1967, Gary earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from Kansas State University, remaining a devoted K-State and Denver Bronco fan throughout his life. His impressive career took him across the country, from Alabama to Denver, Washington D.C., and ultimately to Orlando, where he retired. Over the 35 years with Lockheed Martin, he held various titles and responsibilities, culminating in his role as President of the Lockheed Martin Integrated Business Solutions division. His leadership, dedication, and unwavering kindness left an impact on colleagues and friends around the world. His work ethic was unmatched, and his love for his family knew no bounds. If Gary were to be remembered for just two defining qualities, they would be his boundless optimism—always seeing the glass as full—and his incredible ability to make everyone he met feel special. He took great pride in his small-town Kansas roots, cherishing his upbringing as the son of a wheat farmer and never forgetting where he came from. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Mirna; his children, Jeff, Erin (Christopher), and Brady (Cassandra) from a previous marriage; and his stepsons, Ricardo and Reinaldo (Nayris). He was a proud grandfather to Samantha. He is also survived by his sister, Janet; nephew, Ryan; niece, Sarah (Matt); and their children, Alex, Spencer, and Morgan—as well as countless beloved friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lorraine. The family is planning a Celebration of Gary’s Life in Manhattan, Kansas, at a later date, with details to be shared on Facebook.
