Gary Martin Jensen

Gary Martin Jensen of St. Cloud peacefully passed away at Florida Hospital Orlando on November 26, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after a long hard battle with cancer. He was 63 years old and survived by his wife Joyce, his mother June Jensen of Orlando, daughter Erica Jensen Bilski and her husband Jason Bilski of Henderson NV, son Gary C Jensen and his wife Veronica Pena Jensen and their daughters Alessandra and Karina all of St Cloud., his brother Larry C Jensen and his wife Annette of Groveland, Fl., plus numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout Florida. Gary is preceded in death by his father Hans Watts "Doc" Jensen of Orlando. Gary was born in Orlando Fl on August 17, 1954 to Hans Watts "Doc" Jensen and June Collier Jensen. He and his brother enjoyed causing "mischief" together from an early age. They had fun in the lake swimming and fishing, riding around the Lake Marsha area in their dune buggies, working on their various cars and hanging out with their many friends. Gary earned a GED from Mid Florida Tech in Orlando where he gained "experience"! He met Joyce in 1970 and became mutual friends and were later married in 1976 in Windermere Fl. They purchased a home in the Pine Hills area and had their children Erica and Gary, raising them there until 1986 when they moved to St Cloud. Gary went to work for his uncle at Donnie Daniels Plumbing where he learned his trade as a plumber. He became a Journeyman plumber, then a Registered Plumber and finally a State Certified Plumbing Contractor. In the late 90's he started a plumbing business with a partner eventually selling. In 2000 he and Joyce started Gary Jensens Plumbing which employed their son Gary C Jensen and several of his friends and taught them plumbing and took pride in knowing that he in some way influenced each and everyone of them to become what they could be. Gary C has been his foreman for many years and was proud of the good man his son had become. Throughout the years he made many business and personal friends and lasting working relationships. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, camping and especially fishing, spending time with family and friends and especially his beautiful daughter in-law and two granddaughters on which he doted. He loved to visit his daughter Erica and favorite son in-law J in Nevada where he visited some of the casinos, but most of all the adventures of camping in the desert, renting a pontoon boat on Lake Mead and visiting the various sites in that area. And of course the many cherished friends known as "Hendertucky". Gary definitely had the gift of conversation and never met a stranger. He was constantly helping out others whenever they were in need. He was a longtime supporter of the Florida Sheriffs Association and the Salvation Army plus several other charitable organazations. A Celebration of life Memorial is scheduled for Sunday December 17, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at his home in St Cloud where all are welcome to attend and rejoice and share their "wild" stories and adventures of Gary, he wouldn"t want it any other way.
