Flor M. Wilkie

Flor Maria Wilkie, born December 10, 1935 passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 at the age of 85. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, godmother, great grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her 8 children, Nelson, Wilfredo (Karen) Henry (Dinorys) Milagros (Craig), Ulric (Luisa), Carlos (Michael), Liliana and Jaime (Amanda); her 17 grandchildren, Lorena, Sharon, Samuel, Susanna, Jedidias, Michael, Tennielle, Kevin, Marc, Laura, Ulric, Luis, Matthew, Nina, Lachlan, Esperanza, Carissa; 8 great-grandchildren and her siblings Cacilda, Wenceslada, Candelaria, Nicolas, Marina, Paula, Magdalena, Gilberto, Celida, Pedro, Herminia and Yvonne. She was born and raised in Campo Elias Trujillo, Venezuela and moved to the United States from Valencia Venezuela in 1984 with her husband, Ulric who predeceased her in 2017 and their family. They lived in Bay Shore Long Island NY and retired to Florida in 2003. Flor Maria was well known for her friendly and compassionate understanding of people and made friends wherever she went. She was a beloved matriarch to the family and made her home the center of all holiday celebrations. She loved to travel with her family and in her lifetime was able to visit many countries like Japan, France, England, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as multiple states within the US and Venezuela. Her greatest joy was seeing her children grow and flourish and raise children of their own. She always demonstrated great love and affection and instilled in her kids strong values. Flor Maria will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Flowers or donations to the American Heart Association are welcome. Fue una amada madre, esposa, hermana, tía, abuela, madrina, bisabuela y amiga de todos aquellos cuyas vidas tocó. Le sobreviven sus 8 hijos, Nelson, Wilfredo (Karen) Henry (Dinorys) Milagros (Craig), Ulric (Luisa), Carlos (Michael), Liliana y Jaime (Amanda); sus 17 nietos, Lorena, Sharon, Samuel, Susanna, Jedidias, Michael, Tennielle, Kevin, Marc, Laura, Ulric, Luis, Matthew, Nina, Lachlan, Esperanza, Carissa; 8 bisnietos y sus hermanos Cacilda, Wenceslada, Candelaria, Nicolas, Marina, Paula, Magdalena, Gilberto, Celida, Pedro, Herminia e Yvonne. Nació y creció en Campo Elías Trujillo, Venezuela y se mudó desde Valencia Venezuela a los Estados Unidos en 1984 con su esposo, Ulric, quien falleció antes que ella en 2017 y su familia. Vivieron en Bay Shore Long Island NY y se retiraron a Florida en 2003. Flor María era conocida por su comprensión amistosa y compasiva hacías todos y hacía amigos dondequiera que iba. Ella era una amada matriarca para la familia e hizo de su hogar el centro de todas las celebraciones navideñas. Le encantaba viajar con su familia y durante su vida pudo la oportunidad de visitar muchos países como Japón, Francia, Inglaterra, Honduras, México, Panamá, Colombia, Trinidad y Tobago, así como varios estados dentro de los Estados Unidos y Venezuela. Su mayor alegría fue ver a sus hijos crecer y florecer y criar a sus propios hijos. Ella siempre demostró un gran amor y afecto e inculcó en sus hijos valores fuertes. Flor María será profundamente extrañada y eternamente en nuestros corazones. Se aceptan flores o donaciones a la American Heart Association.
